SES Monster Vega

SES Monster Vega

Built in winter 2006 for the 2007 sprint meetings this modified Vega fitted with a TSL 240cc engine kit proved to be a little to much to handle. After rebuild and painting it was damaged outside the shop while one rider was testing. After a quick repair it was takern to Elvington for its first sprint run.
While waiting in the line it was noticed the rake of the forks was reduced. I myself (Dave Betts) riding it was a little worried when I sat on the line waiting for the lights to change.
Lights changed and off I went having a quick look to my right to see were Darrel was. I was not giving the engine the full throttle when I felt the scooter starting to tank slap. Being a scooter rider I was not used to this and thus I throttled off resulting in even more tank slapping. Looked down at front wheel and it was wobbling like mad, next think I'm in back of ambulance waking up.

One brokern shoulder blade and several days of work I put the scooter on hold and returned the engine to an old cutdown frame. This scooter may be returning later this year with fork modifications and the rake altered for sprinting.
